 The tabletop is a study in contrast, featuring a wide, aromatic band of Spanish cedar flanked by substantial borders of deep black walnut. The craftsmanship shines in the details: the top edge is chamfered for a crisp look, while the underside is softly rounded for a comfortable tactile experience. The base consists of custom V-shaped walnut legs that intentionally display the wood's creamy sapwood, creating a striking natural stripe against the darker heartwood. The entire piece is finished with hand-rubbed tung oil, a traditional technique that preserves the wood’s matte texture and allows the grain to deepen naturally over time.
